TeleMedicine Appointments

Over the past year, our team has researched and tested several telemedicine platforms to allow us to connect with our clients and their pets and continue to provide our personalized level of care – even during those times when the patient may not be in the exam room.  And while we have been planning and implementing telemedicine as a service for some time now, it seems like there is no better time than the present to share it with our clients.

We have partnered with the Medici App to offer Affinity Access® Telemedicine appointments beginning March 17th, 2020.

What is an Affinity Access® Appointment?

Access® Telemedicine appointments are consultations with Affinity doctors where clients can ask questions, share pictures and video of their pets and work together to come up with a plan for the next steps in the care of their pet.

Is an Affinity Access® Appointment the Same Thing as a Patient Exam?

 No.  While the doctor can garner useful information from looking at pictures and/or videos and discussing with the pet owner, nothing can replace the thorough, multi-system, physical exams our doctors perform when working with the patient in person.

What Problems can Telemedicine Appointments Help to Solve?

Many types of questions can be answered through telemedicine consultations.  Some examples include:

  • Initial Triage of Injuries and Illnesses
  • Post Visit/Procedure Follow Up Evaluations
  • Medicine Adjustments
  • Nutrition Consultations
  • Dermatology Questions
  • Hospice and End of Life decisions
  • Husbandry and Environmental needs
  • Guidance for determining whether an emergency visit is warranted

How Much Does a Telemedicine Appointment Cost?

Affinity Access® appointments are billed at a rate of $150 per consultation for approximately 30 minutes. We can text, call you via phone or set up a Zoom meeting or FaceTime.   The Medici App accepts credit cards prior to initiating the conversation with the doctor.  Should the patient require additional in-person care, a $25 credit will be applied towards the in-person visit. 

How Do I Schedule an Affinity Access® Appointment?

  1. To schedule a Telemedicine appointment, please download the Medici App through the iTunes App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Once installed, connect with Dr. Christine Meredith by entering the connect code below (TVMOHTBN6N).
  3. That’s it. You’re ready to send your first message.
